Site was fairly level, only shade is in E loop or not full hook-ups, we were in F loop & got the afternoon sun right under our awning. One large bathhouse for whole campground, although we did not encounter a backlog. Camp store closed pretty early on Thursday & no stores in close proximity to camp. O.C. is a pretty good hike, about 20 minutes. I would prefer the proximity of Frontiertown to O.C., but Fort Whaley is less busy with traffic & people coming & going. There were numerous unattended young children at the pool, many too short to reach the 5 feet high gate latch. Our water spigot leaked big time, in spite of all tightening efforts, that created a muddy area for unhooking four days later. A nice touch was the warning of incoming severe weather by a worker on a loud speaker riding around in golf cart, luckily it missed us.

Our site was way out of level (5"), behind the bunkhouse, by the bathrooms. There were three of us, all had made internet reservations for the KOA Care weekend & requested to be close together, we were spread all over. I called days ahead to check on our proximity & requested a relocation, but nothing was done. Thank goodness I arrived at check-in early & the friendly young ladies at front desk were able to relocate all of us within a few sites. One also explained that you really need to call to guarantee sites close together. Did have to request picnic tables for two of our sites, they were delivered quickly by friendly folks. Heated pool was nice & the kids really enjoyed the new jumping pillow. Pancake breakfast was good. We will return in July to go river tubing or rafting & picked our sites on this trip.

Have stayed here several times over many years, but never used pool yet. Campground is about 8 miles from home. Pool side sites are a little too narrow for slide-out with awning & no fire ring. Level super pull thrus have great wide open view on terraced hillside, are long, narrow and drop off to site below you. This time two of us together in A-fr & A-bk. This large double site had our trailers nose to tail with cable & plenty of room for tow vehicles, extra car & more. All sewer hook-ups are at a right angle instead of straight down into ground, a bit strange, need to ask why. Hiked through the woods to overgrown "fishing pond". Appears to be hard to fish, barely any open water due to cattails. The golf driving range was unique & enjoyable for many of us. Large seasonal "chipmunk" population, even with their own exclusive clothing & golf carts. Many Saturday activities, required Friday night sign-up, apparently geared more towards chipmunks. To each there own, some were friendly, some were not. It seems all discounts are for cash only. This value weekend 15% off, only for cash. Also, free mini golf with paid game is two games for one person. Will visit again as it's so close & good for our teenager that works weekends. Will check-out more trails & try to fish, it's all in what you expect & make for yourselves. Each time is a little different from previous visit.

Stayed there over stormy Labor Day weekend, still had chicken bbq on Saturday under lodge despite rain. Also had to delay small fireworks show over pond until Sunday due to weather. Camp is 70% seasonal, everyone friendly, a little close together. Store/lodge had just basics, gave you the old time open friendly feel with honor system for cashier, board games, pool table & fireplace. Large market only mile or so away. We had the only pull thru site, angled & on corner with little privacy, mixed in with seasonal campers. Needed 3" under tires to level, so we had good drainage with rain & most sites are all gravel. Sewer drain was uphill a little. Shopped Reading outlets & mall, about 12 miles away, lots of antique shops in area. All RV sites are full hook-up, so only one small bathhouse.

Camped here Memorial Day weekend & several times in previous years. Have stayed on sunny sites by fishing pond & shaded spots, all have been spacious. RV dealer at end of road had open house & even free lunch on this stay, did buy some accessories. Pool was still cold at this point early in the season. Camped here to go to Tuff Truck & Demo derby at Arena, a mile down the road, as did some others. That was something to see. Had mechanical problem with tow vehicle on Sunday morning, was able to get help & back on road by afternoon, thanks to generosity of nice worker & fellow camper's son. Little road noise from Interstate.

Camped here for KOA's free night weekend in May, paid for second night. Almost all sites are shaded, roads & sites all gravel. All recreation in woods, mini golf, shuffle board, horse-shoes, etc, no open area for volleyball or badminton. Heated pool was open in mid May. Escort to site backed me in perfectly. Site was level & good size for slide & large awning, was little tight on the exit. Quiet at night, even when full. Friendly neighbors & staff, although both times in office, to get & return shuffle board equipment did need to wait, even though there was more than one worker. This is one of the better campgrounds in the Gettysburg area. Would return again.

Was there for Easter weekend, close to 30 & outlets but, secluded & buffered behind trees & buildings. We were close to road, so could hear a little noise, but not too bad. Different T-shaped sites would have been a difficult back-in for my travel trailer, if neighbor would have been there first, probably not so bad for MH or 5th wheels. Utilities are far enough away or low to allow for tail swing. Was there before amusement park opened & don't have little ones, imagine would be great for that. Good roads & access.

This was second time I was there, had six sites with tents, pop-up & a travel trailer, all relatively close. The large tenters even went for full hook-up sites. Others in our group said too many rules, too commercial, not so friendly seasonal & staff, wouldn't go back. Seems they know it's a "fancy campground in demand". First time, in 2004, I like the paved site with full amenities, even rented golf cart for weekend. Large campground to walk every where. Pretty difficult to get holiday or even summer reservations. Note, the no alcohol policy only after check-in, you just need to not display &, of course, maintain composure. Nobody said anything to me either visit. I would probably return.

Store & office at bottom of hill, walking a little tough with large gravel/rocks on the relatively narrow one-way roads. Site was large with small gravel & sloped enough that trailer tongue was almost on ground. That, in turn, made our first step at rear somewhat large. Large L-shaped pool was refreshingly cool, small fishing pond appeared over used or under stocked. Could hear Maplegrove drag strip, went there on Sunday to checkout amateur show. All weekenders are separate from the large amount of seasonal sites.

Stayed a week, about 5-6 blocks from beach. Beach, ocean & pool all were great. In the middle of Myrtle Beach, yet back in the woods. All seasonals are separate from vacation campers. Shaded sites are hard sand & pine needles. 12 of us total, 4 in kabin, 4 in park model. Great we all could be close, almost back to back. Pull throughs have gravel & grass but were narrow compared to my back-in. Local pizza delivery available. Store had good stock, grocery stores & Camping World nearby.

Sites are very close together, only a few feet from my awning to next site's sewer. Luckily, neighbor did not have slide. All angled pull throughs, but short, with 32' travel trailer (23' awning) could barely park c. cab pick-up across & have a fire. No shade anywhere & lots of seasonals with golf carts, one with lawn tractor & cart of firewood for sale cruised around continuously. Only 3 rows of transient sites. Activities on 4th of July weekend were decent, dance/dj on Saturday night with hot dogs & popcorn. Also had auction, clothing sale & flea market. Nobody in area knew where firework displays were located. Looks like there may be better destination campgrounds in area.
